Is there an AO3 app?
Short answer: no — and there will probably never be one. You can add AO3 to your home screen, but it's just a bookmark: it opens a fresh tab and forgets everything the moment you close it.
The closest thing to a real AO3 app

- Open wipinbox.com in Safari.
- Tap the Share button (the square with the arrow).
- Scroll and tap Add to Home Screen.
- Tap Add. The WIP Inbox icon lands on your home screen like any other app.
On Android (Chrome)
- Open wipinbox.com in Chrome.
- Tap the three-dot menu and choose Install app (or Add to Home screen if you don't see Install).

- Does AO3 have an official app?
- No. AO3 is a web-only platform run by the Organization for Transformative Works, a volunteer-funded nonprofit. OTW has said publicly they have no plans to build or sanction a native mobile app.
- What are the AO3 apps in the App Store and Play Store?
- Every app currently listed as an 'AO3 app' is an unofficial third-party wrapper. They're not built or endorsed by the OTW. Some are decent readers; none of them remember which chapter you stopped on or which of your WIPs have updated.
- Can't I just bookmark AO3 on my home screen?
- You can, and it's a fine shortcut. But it's just a bookmark — it opens a fresh tab every time and remembers nothing about where you left off. WIP Inbox on your home screen keeps your shelf, your progress, and what's updated since you last read.
- Does WIP Inbox work on both iPhone and Android?

- Yes. Taps on AO3 links open in the browser you're already using — Safari on iPhone, Chrome on Android — so your existing AO3 login, kudos history, and comments are right where you left them.
- Is WIP Inbox affiliated with AO3?

- Do I have to give you my AO3 password?
